Iconic gaming brand Atari has announced its new partnership with LGBT Media, the company behind popular dating app, LGBTQutie.
The collaboration means that LGBT Media will acquire Pridefest, a game that Atari released in 2016 that allows users to create their own Pride parade—players have to solve puzzles to unlock decorations for their floats.
"Pridefest is centered on the celebration of LGBTQ culture and pride, and will allow users to have a fun, engaging and interactive experience," said Rachel Kimelman, co-founder of LGBTQutie.
"By combining the respective experience levels of both of our companies, we hope to provide players with a new standard for LGBT gaming."
Atari CEO Fred Chesnais said that the LGBTQutie team’s “extensive expertise and relationships within the LGBTQ community would benefit Pridefest.
"We knew that joining forces with LGBTQutie was the best course of action to further develop and grow the game.”
The LGBTQutie app was launched last year and prides itself on facilitating “relationships, friendships and meaningful connections”.

The app is designed not just for gay men or lesbian women but “bisexual, transgender, queer, pansexual, asexual, intersex, and non-binary individuals”.
LGBTQutie plans to expand the social elements of Pridefest when the app is re-launched and re-branded.
