Cara Delevingne is facing backlash for praising Beyoncé's Coachella performance after previously announcing that she was boycotting the popular Californian music festival for being owned by billionaire Philip Anschutz, who reportedly donates a portion of profits to pro-gun and anti-LGBT groups.

While some members of the community praised Delevingne for the move, others thought it was hypocritical for her to call the festival out while simultaneously watching the livestream of Beyoncé's set.
"I am speechless," she wrote on Instagram. "That performance made me burst into tears and sent shivers down my spine. Especially the Destiny’s Child reunion. ICONIC is an understatement. Thank you for inspiring so many and for lifting each other up."

Delevingne then took to social media to clarify her position and defend herself, saying she maintained her "#Nochella" views.
“I still refuse to go to a festival that is owned by someone who is anti-LGBT and pro-gun," she wrote.

She continued: “I am able to shame that man and the festival and show my appreciation of an artist at the same time. Just because I love Beyoncé doesn’t mean I now love Coachella. I still wouldn’t go."
Delevingne has been open about her sexuality in the past, describing it as "fluid".
