One of Australia’s largest not-for-profit disability service organisations is holding an expo for sexuality as experienced by those on the spectrum of disability.

Aiming to "lift the lid on sexuality and disability", Northcott's Feel the Vibe expo will return this year as a two-part event, with a forum designed for disability professionals, parents and carers, as well as an expo targeted towards people with a disability.
Now in its eighth year, attendees will have the chance to learn about sexuality, sexual health and sexual fulfilment in a safe, friendly and supportive environment, with store-holders including ACON, Max Black, Astroglide and Family Planning NSW.
The free event will also include presentations from expert speakers such as Family Planning NSW Senior Health Promotion Officer (Disability) Ee-Lin Chang, sex worker activist and President of Touching Base Inc. Saul Isbister and Northcott Practice Manager Jill Maginnity.
Northcott's relationships and sexuality expert Alicia Melita says the event is an important platform to discuss what some find to be an awkward subject.

“Historically people with disability receive fewer opportunities to learn about sexuality and sexual health – let alone sexual fulfilment,” says Alicia.
She continues: “This is an area that is often overlooked, or deemed as unnecessary for people with a disability. Northcott’s goal is to change this by supporting people with disability to access accurate and reliable information and education.”

The Feel the Vibe expo will be held in Burwood on May 3rd. For more information, click here.
