One of their programs might be called Fox & Friends but it looks like one Fox News' favourite talking heads has put her foot a little too far in her mouth, after being forced to apologise for a barrage of insults directed at Rep. Joe Kennedy III.

During Kennedy's State of the Union response earlier in the week, Lahren unleashed on her social media, calling him a range of insults from "little ginger nerd" to a "little limp d**k".

Lahren then proceeded to compare Kennedy to Caitlyn Jenner, dead-naming Jenner in the process, across both Twitter and Instagram.
"Is it just me," the now-deleted tweet read, "or does Joe Kennedy III look a helluva lot like pre-Caitlyn [...] Jenner?"
After many of Lahren's comments went viral, she issued an apology the following day, stating that the comments were on her "personal Instagram", ignoring the fact that the viral comments were on both Twitter and Instagram, and that she uses both accounts for professional reasons.
Meanwhile, Kennedy had invited transgender army staff sergeant Patricia King as his guest to the State of the Union. As Kennedy was giving the Democrats' official rebuttal to the State of the Union, King sat in the chamber while Kennedy was in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Kennedy also serves as Chairman of the Congressional Transgender Equality Task Force. Speaking to The Boston GlobeKennedy said, "I want [Staff Sgt. King] to be there as a real person, and the face of an inhumane policy," regarding Trump's threats and attempts to ban trans people from serving in the military.
