A photo of Joe Biden officiating a same-sex wedding, posted by actress Melanie Griffith, has received strong praise online.
Over the weekend, the former Vice President presided over the wedding of Henry Muñoz - the Democratic National Committee Finance Chair - and his now-husband Kyle Ferrari.
A photo of Biden marrying the two men was shared by Griffith, who was a guest at the wedding.
She wrote alongside the image, "My dearest friends Henry Munoz and Kyle Ferrari were married today by VP Joe Biden. Wishing them everlasting love and a joyous life journey!!!"
People's reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, and somewhat nostalgic for the past administration:
However, this is not the first time the former VP has married a same-sex couple.
Back in August last year, the outspoken ally married two White House staffers, Brian Mosteller (Oval Office operations director for former President Barack Obama) and Joe Mahshie (trip coordinator for former First Lady Michelle Obama).
