Singer, actor and all-round queer icon Lady Gaga has surprised a teary-eyed super fan during a photo-shoot for Allure magazine.
Brandon Galaz, a gay cosmetology student and huge Lady Gaga fan, was invited into the Allure offices under the pretense of having his makeup done with Gaga's brand new makeup line, Haus Laboratories.
As part of the proposed segment, Galaz brought along a letter he'd written to Lady Gaga, explaining the impact her music has had on the budding makeup artist's life.
What Galaz didn't realise was that Gaga herself was waiting to surprise him in the next room. Safe to say, the big reveal brought on the water-works - from both Galaz and Gaga.
“You’re my role model,” a clearly emotional Galaz told the star.
“I am unsure if I’d have the courage to accept and be who I am today without the acceptance and peace I have found in your music and life story.”
Galaz's letter went on to explain that coming out as gay had caused tension in his relationship with his father, quoting Gaga's 'Born This Way' lyrics: “Don’t hide yourself in regret / Just love yourself and you’re set.”
