Male authors called out for how they describe women

Famous male writers such as Stephen King and Neil Gaiman are being called out for the way they describe the breasts of their female characters to highlight how women are often stereotyped in books by male writers. 

Twitter User @PannaANetvor highlighted some passages from works by King to make her point.

"Ah yes, Hurtful Nipples, so often a problem for modern men. Many a time I have been emotionally wounded by them," one user quipped.

King has previously been called out for the way he represents women in his books including the sex scene in the book IT that never made the cut into the movies.  

As one user pointed out perhaps King should've run his passages by some actual women.

Much-loved author Neil Gaiman was also called out.

As one Twitter user pointed out, if it was female writers doing the same for male body parts there would be much more outrage.

As the satirical literary mag McSweeneys once reminded us, if women wrote men the way they write women the result would be farcical.
