The artist behind the viral You Should've Asked comic famously calling out the mental load women take on managing household chores has tackled a new issue - #metoo and rape culture.
In the new comic It's not ideal but... , French artist, known as 'Emma' explains rape culture and shares her own experiences of harassment as a child and teenager, including a disturbing account of being forcibly kissed as a child.
The moment is laughed over by her peers and the adults who supervise her.
"This is the precise moment, when we were eight years old, an adult told us it was ok for a man to pester a girl, especially if he liked her," she writes in the comic.
"And that without really having done anything, just because I was 'cute', I had brought it on myself."
From school room bra-snapping and kiss-and-catch, to her first relationship at 18 with an abusive boyfriend, the artist explores how young men and women are socialised into normalising predatory and abusive behaviour.

"My boyfriend was not a stranger, or ugly or violent. He was just a regular guy with abusive tendencies who had grown up in a culture that encouraged him to behave this way."
"I had interiorised this is just how things were, I didn't even try to defend myself."
The comic artist rose to fame after her smash hit 'Mental Load' graphic, published in The Guardian last year, exploded online with almost half a million shares.
The artwork struck a chord with women globally, provoking fierce debate on the challenges faced by working women and the distribution of domestic labour in the home.
