Actress and TV host Rosie O'Donnell has confirmed her engagement to army veteran and boxer Elizabeth Rooney.
O'Donnell opened up about the pair's relationship during an interview with People, admitting that their wedding might be "a long time in the future".
"We both decided that that would be best,” she added.
The pair have been dating long distance since last year.
“She lives in Boston now and I live here in New York," O'Donnell said.
"It’s been a long-distance thing. It’s been great. I think she’s a wonderful woman."
O'Donnell conceded that their age difference had been a point of discussion in the early days of their relationship.
"I keep telling her I’m too old for her. But she doesn’t seem to care," the star said.
"She’s like, 'I was in the Army! I put my life on the line every day you think I don’t know who I want to date?' I’m like, 'Alright I guess that’s true.' She has a lot of good points."
