Sandra Oh - how many ways do we love thee? Let us count the ways.

Oh is already a trailblazer - the first Asian-American actress to be nominated as the lead actress in a drama category at the Emmys and a fierce advocate of diversity in Hollywood.

But now she's warmed the internet, celebrating her historic nomination by bringing her parents as dates to the award ceremony.
Oh, a Canadian actress born to Korean immigrant parents, introduced both her mum and dad to the cameras as they accompanied her on the red carpet. Her mother kissed the actress and sung her daughter's praises.

"I’m so proud of her,” she told Variety.

“Oh, my God. That happened on film,” Oh joked.
Oh has been nominated for her role in the BBC America show Killing Eve. In the critically acclaimed  series, Oh plays Eve Polastri, a MI5 officer who is chasing an assassin played by  actress Jodie Comer.

Oh's parents have previously accompanied her to some of earlier red carpet forays, and have been a presence on her social media.

Earlier in the week, Oh posted a picture of her father sporting red crocs and reading as she glammed up to head to an event.
The actress has been nominated five times in the supporting Emmy category for her role playing Dr Cristina Yang in Grey's Anatomy, but has never took away a gong.

"I open my arms wide open to carry that for anyone who wants to come on the ride with me," she told Entertainment Tonight on her historic nomination. "I'm ecstatic about it, and I do have complete awareness for what this might mean for our community and I'm happy to represent."

"you know what i love? that sandra oh introduced her parents to the red carpet reporter with, "this is my mom, mrs oh..." my child-of-immigrants heart FELT that,"  writer Bim Adewunmi tweeted.
