The Coalition for Marriage aired its first advertisement encouraging Australians to vote no in the same-sex marriage postal survey last night, and countless people have expressed their thoughts about the ad on social media.
The advert featured three Australian mothers who are voting 'No' - including Cella White, who received media coverage last year after removing her children from Frankston High because the school was a part of the national Safe Schools program.
The women speak about concerns regarding the inclusion of LGBTQI+ people in school programs, and imply a link between marriage equality, and programs like Safe Schools becoming compulsory in schools.
One woman says her son was told they could wear a dress to school, another says that Year 7 students were asked to "role play being in a same-sex relationship". A title card expresses that parents would "lose the right to choose".
