The Finnish PM is proud to be raised by two mums

The current Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, became the youngest PM in the world in 2019 when she was sworn in to lead her country at the age of 34. But something else she is proud of was that she was raised by two mums. In an interview for a Finnish magazine in 2015 she said being raised as a "child of a rainbow family" helped shape her values as a politician.

And now a recent BBC article is reminding the world of the journey she has made.
In an Instagram post Sanna Marin mentioned her mother, writing underneath a picture of herself as a baby: "I thought anything was possible because my mom told me I could become anything."
Her background seems to be inspiring many on social media.
And since being in power she has announced a gender neutral policy for all parents by creating equal family leave.
As Twitter user @welikumbura mentioned, her journey is a reminder that "same-sex parents can raise their children just like a conventional family without any issues."
