A morale-boosting photography competition in London will see a gay couple feature on 50 billboards around the city.

The competition included six categories, encouraging members of the public to send in photos that represented each one: Love London, Love Your Community, Love Your Friends, Love Yourself, Love Your Partner, Love What You Do.
Scott Hamilton submitted his winning photograph, titled "Snuggle", to the Love Your Partner category. The photograph was taken on self-timer in the home he shares with his partner.

"I love the thought of spreading some happiness and joy across London and I’m really privileged that the judges chose my entry, especially since this photo means a lot to me personally," Hamilton, a part-time teacher, said of his win.

He continued: "I think it gives a great representation of love and comfort, since the shot was taken quite naturally when we were both at home on the couch, it just felt right."

The competition was organised by dating app CLiKD, with all proceeds going to PhotoVoice – a charity committed to supporting social change through photography.

Tom Elkins, PhotoVoice CEO, said: "This competition has been a fantastic opportunity for photographers to tell their stories about what makes London so special for them."

"The images submitted have been moving, beautiful, thoughtful, and have shown how rich and varied culture London has."

The photographs will grace large-scale digital billboards across the city, as well as bus stops and train stations.
