A tweet about dealing with homophobia during awkward family get-togethers has gone viral, after it perfectly summed up the reaction LGBT+ people have in the face of discriminatory remarks at the dinner table.  

Twitter user @findherglenn uploaded a short video with the caption: ““When you’re at a family dinner defending gay rights & homophobic aunt Judy asks why you’re so passionate about gay rights if you’re straight”.
The accompanying video features prominent Youtuber Tana Mongeau who helped the post go viral after she retweeted it.

The tweet has received over 30,000 likes so far and hundreds of comments, with a number of people relating to the all-too-familiar scene.
