Drag Race Thailand continues to pave the way for diversity in the popular reality TV franchise, with trans woman Angele Anang winning the show's second season.

Another trans contestant, Kandy Zyanide, was runner-up.

Drag Race Thailand co-host Pangina Heals took to social media to celebrate the win, writing: "You worked hard and you showed the world you are an amazing artist and an amazing human being."
The Thai spin-off of the popular American series has captured viewers' attention this season, with memorable moments including one contestant setting her skirt on fire to reveal a second look - as well as sharing the first-round audition of a cisgender woman.

It's the first time a trans contestant has won the popular reality TV franchise, which is soon to branch out with its UK edition, set to screen on the BBC later this year.
