"I can't believe 'Love, Simon really' went and cut a scene of Nick Robinson and Colton Haynes dancing together."

To celebrate the DVD and home entertainment release of LGBTIQ+ themed rom-com Love, Simon, fans have been treated to a number of previously unreleased deleted scenes - including one featuring American actor, model and singer Colton Haynes.
The scene shows lead character Simon, played by Nick Robinson, going to a gay bar for the first time, where he meets and dances with an older man played by Haynes.

Some fans of the two actors were left bitterly disappointed by the scene's omission.

"I can't believe Love, Simon really went and cut a scene of Nick Robinson and Colton Haynes dancing together," wrote one viewer on Twitter.
The film's director, Greg Berlanti, told Gay Star News that the scene was dropped because it messed with the film's pacing.

"It just slowed down the narrative," Berlanti said.
"It felt like we were jumping the gun about what his experience was.”

Haynes had previously worked with Berlanti on TV series Arrow.
