'Will and Grace' is officially returning to TV

The show is returning with 10 new episodes, over a decade since the series finale aired in 2006.

Following months of rumours, NBC has confirmed that the iconic sitcom Will and Grace will be returning for a ninth season, over 10 years after the show’s season finale aired in 2006.

The cast recently reunited to produce an election-themed mini-episode that aired just before the first presidential debate last year.

NBC announced the news with a teaser video confirming the return of stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally.

The show’s creators - Max Mutchnick and David Kohan - are also on board, as well as James Burrows, who directed every episode of Will and Grace.
Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment said he was thrilled the comedy was returning.

"This ground-breaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs."

The new episodes will air during the 2017/2018 broadcast season, and we're just as excited as the cast:
