VICE News Tonight is the nightly news service that doesn't mess around. There's no host, which eliminates any unnecessary chatter - instead it gets right into the meat of the story. Also, the news is fast-tracked to you within just a few hours after it is initially broadcast in the US.
With the interest in the US midterms, there's never been a better time to check out the award-winning news program.
Here's what you need to know about the show:
It's timely
VICE News Tonight airs four nights a week on HBO in the US from Monday to Thursday nights. Thanks to the time difference, SBS VICELAND is broadcasting it just a few hours later (every evening just after 6pm). You can find new episodes of the daily show Tues-Fri nights on SBS VICELAND, streaming anytime at SBS On Demand.
(And just quietly, new episodes are usually available in the afternoon before they're broadcast on TV, streaming at SBS On Demand.)
As a special bonus, on Monday nights SBS VICELAND broadcasts specials produced by the VICE News Tonight team.
It is an Emmy winner
This year for its special Charlottesville: Race and Terror, VICE News Tonight won the Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Newscast award, along with wins for Best Story in a Newsmagazine, Outstanding Video Journalism: News, and Outstanding Editing: News.
It was the second year in a row that VICE News Tonight won the Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Newscast award after winning for The Road To Mosul.
