On International Women's Day, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli made a public apology on his social media channels.

In a special message for all the women and girls, Virat Kohli posed with his hands joined and said sorry on behalf of men who stalk, eve-tease and trouble women.
Tweeting on his handle @ImVKohli, the Indian batsman said, "Sorry for the jerks, the cat-callers, and the stalkers. Don't let them ruin it for the rest of us; Happy Women's Day".

Virat had more to say. Not limiting himself to 140 characters on twitter, Virat on his Instagram post, added "Dear girls, Sorry for the jerks. The whistlers. The cat-callers. The blank-callers. The won’t-stop-starers. The “frandship” stalkers. The “accidental” brushers. The glass-ceiling makers. Please don’t let them ruin it for the rest of us. Happy Women’s Day."
