'Don't wait for symptoms, get cancer screening done while you are still healthy'

Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria (DBSV) and Nepali Society of Tasmania (NEST) recently organised cancer screening awareness sessions targeting the Nepali community. The programs were conducted in collaboration with the Australian Government and Australian Red Cross Tasmania in Melbourne and Hobart, respectively. DBSV founder president Jamuna Parajuli and NEST president Rojina Tamrakar spoke to SBS Nepali about the consultations, community participation and cancer screening facilities available in Australia.
