Fans of the iconic TV series The L Word are on the edge of their seats after the show’s co-creator—Ilene Chaiken—tweeted: “So excited! Can’t wait…!” and tagged the official L Word Twitter account and a number of cast members.
The series finale of the groundbreaking lesbian drama aired in 2009—after six seasons—and fans of the show couldn’t be more excited that a reunion might be just around the corner.
Actor Kate Moennig fueled speculation that a seventh season could be happening after she tweeted: "Can't wait to be with my girls again!!"
Although some fans were wary that it could all be a horrible joke and are demanding confirmation from Chaiken.
Moennig—who played Shane on the series—responded to the frantic fans, desperate for answers and said: "As far as I know, it's not a reboot. For reunion inquiries, direct that to @showtime."
With the return of Gilmore Girls, Roseanne and Will and Grace, it's only fair that 2017 seesThe L Word  get a reboot as well.
