An Icelandic electro-pop ode to stationery? Not quite, but Iceland will be coming to Kyiv, via the set of Fortitude, with a real contender. Music veteran and The Voice Iceland mentor Svala channels the best bits of Robyn and Röyksopp to elevate “Paper” above much of the pack.

In Iceland, Svala is a household name with a long and successful career in the industry, which kicked off with “The Real Me” in the late '90s. She out Gaga-ed Gaga as lead singer and fashion icon for band Steel Lord, and most recently launched the new venture Blissful.

“Paper” cuts right through and contains one big gold star of a chorus - an A+ at Eurovision. Iceland has a cracking chance of regaining a place in the grand final after a couple of years left behind in the Eurovision stationery cupboard. This entry will stick to you like glue.
